        betway必威官网手机版 Oct 18th ,2019:The Conference on Intelligent Unmanned Swarm System Control Theory and Applications and Joint Workshop (5th session) on Smart Grid and Energy Conversion was held at National Defense Science Park of betway必威官网手机版 from Oct 18th to 19th. The conference was hosted by the School of Automation, betway必威官网手机版, and co-organized by the Cloud Control and Decision Making Committee of China Institute of Command and Control, and sponsored by Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Project of Beijing Municipal Nature and Science Fund Committee and International (regional) and Exchange Project of National Nature and Science Fund Committee, and greatly supported by betway必威官网手机版.


        The conference was hosted by Professor Xia Yuanqing, dean of School of Automation, betway必威官网手机版. Jin Jun, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Automation, attended the conference and delivered a speech, introduced the background of the meeting, and he expressed his warm welcome to the guests by pointing out the frontiers of intelligent swarm systems and smart grid research and the trend of continued national support for this field combining with the national strategy of “Artificial Intelligence”. Over 150 teachers and students from more than 40 universities, research institutes and enterprises at home and abroad attended the conference, listened to the reports of experts, actively exchanged with the experts, and made in-depth discussion on issues such as intelligent swarm control, artificial intelligence and smart grid.


        A total of 9 well-known experts from home and abroad were invited to attend the conference report and participate in the round table. At the conference, 9 wonderful reports were delivered to the attendants on topics related to intelligent unmanned swarm system and smart grid and energy conversion. Professor Guanrong Chen from City University of Hongkong discussed the impact of destructive attacks on the robustness and controllability of the system from the perspective of networked systems in a simple way. Professor Karl Henrik Johansson of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden introduced the collaborative planning, control methods and their impact on traffic in the queue of heavy vehicles with a wealth of simulation and experimental data. Professor Takashi Hikihara from Kyoto University introduced the power distribution problem in the network and its application in intelligent robots with a wonderful video. Professor Magdi S. Mahmoud of the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals comprehensively elaborated the combination of networked control theory and industrial control systems. Professor C. K. Michael Tse from the City University of Hong Kong discussed two complementary aspects of the real physical network model from a practical perspective. Professor Sun Fuhcun from Tsinghua University introduced the latest research progress in robotic perception and cognitive learning through vivid words. Professor Guo Lei of Beihang University elaborated on the design of composite level anti-jamming controller under multiple interferences in a detailed manner. Professor Duan Zhisheng from Peking University introduced his research results on system synchronization and multi-agent consistency under complex networks. Professor Chen Mou of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics introduced the research progress of multi-objective mission planning of multi-unmanned aerial vehicles system in the context of collaborative missions.


        In the following roundtable session, 9 experts and the present teachers and students discussed how to carry out research and research hotspots of artificial intelligence and control. Combined with their own experience, talent training concept and national major strategic needs, experts put forward proposals for graduate students on research topics and paper writing, etc. Focusing on the hotspots in artificial intelligence and control, the experts had a lively and in-depth discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence and its prospect of combining it with the control system from the fields of unmanned swarm system, system robustness, overall system design, and power system.


        The experts’ report of this meeting was brilliant and people were full of enthusiasm for academic exchange. Through this conference, the strength of our school in the field of “Intelligent Unmanned Swarm Control System” and “Smart Grid and Energy Conversion” was demonstrated, which promotes exchange and cooperation between scholars at home and abroad, and it has given positive significance in understanding the latest research achievements in this filed, absorbing advanced theories and ideas, improving the academic influences in the discipline of science and engineering of BIT.
