Written by I received a ROBO call from Ken Blackwell last night. The call asked a series of yes/no questions and seemed aimed and soliciting a donation and getting me to contact a Republican National Committeeman on behalf of Blackwell. It was a nice call but I chuckled a bit when Blackwell referred to himself as "articulate and effective." Who wrote the script for him, Joe Biden?
Speaking of Blackwell he looks like the favorite among real conservatives. Here are some of the people supporting him (these are the people who have really put it on the line for the conservative movement.)

If Blackwell has the support of these people then I guess he is my choice for Chairman of the RNC.

I like all of the folks who are supporting Ken, but I don’t think he’ll be an effective chair, and with all due respect to the folks listed (above & below), all of who I admire greatly, I don’t think any of them really reflect the future (aside from maybe Perkins/Toomey) of the conservative movement. I think they all reflect the those who helped build the movement, but it’s time to pass the torch, and doesn’t have the credentials, management experience or fire in his belly to the one to beat the DNC with an incumbent President with control of both chambers.
