The three main Republicans running to represent the north-east Arizona (CD 1) have reported their numbers.
Rusty Bowers filed for the first time. He showed a somewhat adequate $45,850 raised but had expenses of $32,644 (mostly staff.) That leaves him with an anemic $13,206 cash on hand (CoH) as of December 31st. Many legislative candidates have more cash than that.
Flagstaff Dentist Paul Gosar was again the big fund raiser on the GOP side. He pulled in $103,051 and had CoH of $132,989.
Bradley Beauchamp pulled in $23,040 with CoH of $34,515.
If Beauchamp can excite the conservative base he may have a chance at Gosar but it will be difficult to overcome that kind of money advantage. Bowers is almost out of the game unless he can really turn around his fund raising.
Late entrant Joe Jaraczewski did not report for the quarter because he had not yet filed at this time.
Democratic incumbent Ann Kirkpatrick raised $138,286 in Q4 but also burned through $66,077. She had a healthy CoH of $651,266 (debt of $37,345.)
