Sonoran Alliance broke the story that Planned Parenthood supporters are hosting a campaign event for the solidly pro-life Governor Jan Brewer. That same day they also posted a press release from Vernon Parker calling on Brewer to distance herself from the Morris family because of their support of Planned Parenthood (a major abortion provider.)

On one level Parker’s press release makes sense. Should a pro-life politician hang out with people on the opposite side of the issue? The other side of the coin is that better for the Morris family to support Brewer than an abortion friendly candidate like Terry Goddard. That is what many moderate Republicans did with Janet Napolitano and the results did not go well for the Arizona GOP.

In a scathing response, High Ground Consulting pointed out the clear record Gov. Brewer has in support of the unborn and that winning elections are a matter of addition, not subtraction.

It will be interesting to see if PR heavyweight Jason Rose (working for Parker) want’s to keep this exchange going or if he has had enough.
