Will The Circle Be Unbroken

Looks like the Political Notebook is back up and running at the Arizona Daily Star authored by Rhonda Bodfield who appears to have taken over the political reporting duties of Daniel Scarpinato.

Rhonda Bodfield, served as Patty Weiss’ communications director in the 2006 Democratic congressional primary campaign.  Before that she was a reporter, for the Daily Star.

Mark Kimble, who was the Associate Editor—and Editorial Page Editor—at the Tucson Citizen before they went out of business, and who was also a Bee-Giffords debate moderator, went to work a month or so ago for Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords as a member of her communications staff.  Kimble presumably now reports to one of his former employees, Giffords’ Communications Director CJ Karamargin, a former political reporter for the Arizona Daily Star and then a reporter at the Citizen.

Before jumping back to political reporting, Bodfield was recently reporting on education.  According to the U of A website, Bodfield also teaches at the U of A Journalism Department as do many local print media reporters and opinion writers—including two of the Daily Star editorial writers Jane See White, Sarah Gassen and Weekly political reporter Jim Nintzel.

Today, Bodfield is also reporting on the Tucson Tea Party event for the Star, who by their own words do not cover protests as a general rule.
