Is “degradating” even a word?

Written by Ryan on Aug 10th, 2009.

In a recent appearance on TV, Rep. Giffords accuses people who disagree with her of “degradating the president…” I wonder what Giffords thinks her Chief of Staff, Maura Policelli, is doing in this video (see 2:05 into the video.)

The left often accused Bush of not using the English language but I could not find “degradating” anywhere in the dictionary. Maybe they hand out special dictionaries at Cornell University.

  1. Gilda says:

“Degradation” is a word, but “degradating” is not in the dictionary. Maybe she picking up bad grammar from the southern GOP representatives in congress.

  2. Stewie says:

Oh, Gabby is all for an impeachment. Oh but we can’t do it. Did Gabby ever propose articles of impeachment in the House? Nope. Hypocrite. That’s “send the chief of staff our to placate the far left wing of the party.” Complete with Spokesman CJ Karamargin hiding in the back. Having to walk a tightrope between the majority of your constituency and that group. What a way to make a living.

And the text early in the video “Gifford’s” oops.

    “It blew my mind away”

    “the political calculus” rich

And it’s not really that difficult…geez they impeached Clinton on a simple matter of perjury.

Yes, by all means, let’s not be “degradating” the president. More “do as I say, not as I do” hypocrisy from the left.
