Picture of the day, updated

Written by Ryan on Jul 11th, 2009.

Appearently Rep. Raul Grijalva (AZ 7) is so threatened by the Ruth McClung campaign that he is reaching out to the Tea Party crowd. Here is a photo of Grijalva hanging out with a Tea Party member, a Jesse Kelly supporter no less. Does Giffords know about this?

Update: The picture has gone national and is now posted on Instapundit.

The photo is hilarious. Still, I doubt Raul loses any sleep regarding Ruth, and the notion that he is reaching out to the Tea party crowd is absurd.

Such inanities lie below Giffords. She’s wrestling with the blue dog health care letter she signed and the onslaught of email and regular mail flooding her office. Like Obama, she faces attacks from both left and right, and also like Obama, she listens to a sour orchestra screaming in different directions.

I don’t think Raul looses much sleep about anything.

Having said that, at least the guy is a liberal and he’s comfortable in his own skin about it. It’s his hat and he wears it.

It is funny, hilarious, watching Gabby walking a line trying to appease the liberals enough to be included in Pelosi’s reindeer games but trying desperately to appear to be moderate enough to get re-electeed in her district. Someone secure in his or her convictions would do a whole lot less “wrestling” over such issues.

The photo is great. If a lib like Raul embraced the Tea Party movement, he’d probably be for setting up a “Department of Less Government” with a cabinet level secretary or some other move demonstrative of being “unclear on the concept.”

Thanks for the touching kumbaya moment.

    The picture looks fake.

Give it up….none of your candidates will beat Giffords. Keep pouring the money in, just takes money away from other races.

And, I think Giffords should support a public option of insurance. It will do a lot to save money for small businesses and will likely help our economy in the long run. More importantly, it will insure millions…which is what we should have been doing years ago.

She is safe enough to where she can vote this way.
