Gubernatorial primary – 2010

Written by Cameron on Mar 30th, 2009.

We do not know for sure if Governor Brewer will be running for reelection in 2010* but we are hearing about State Party Chairman John Munger a lot. He is all over the state and he ideas and speeches have people paying attention. He is talking about overhauling the tax structure in Arizona and really reforming education. He is not considered strong on social issues so Brewer is probably safe with that group. He has a web site at Imagine Arizona.

We are also hearing the name of Representative Jeff Flake a lot, especially if Brewer gets her tax increase passed or on the ballot. Flake is good on social issues but is really bad about amnesty for illegal aliens.

Then there is word that former State Senator Karen Johnson wants to run so she can highlight her issues. Some say she wants to talk about 9-11 and what really happened.

*One of our readers assures us that Gov. Brewer will run again in 2010.

  1. ImagineArizona.com – uck! Bipartisan Arizona? Where did Mr. Munger find the sloganeer for his web site? Perhaps John McCain’s support staff or one of the journalists laid off from the Arizona Republic? “A Place for Ideas”? Why don’t you just go whole hog and yell out “I’m for change! (really! the good kind! really!?!)

  2. Mr. Conservative says:

Flake is “bad” on amnesty? Flake just doesn’t toe the Pullen-Haney-Pearce party line… Many seem to gloss over this issue but Flake is against the mis-interpretation of the 14th Amendment & does not like the idea of illegals getting welfare… Those are two huge issues that if they went “our” way we’d be a whole lot better off…

    Mr. Conservative,

Flake supports the DREAM Act. From what I understand that is a budget buster gift to people in the country illegally.

  4. I really like the fresh perpective you did on the issue. Really was not expecting that when I started off studying. Your concepts were easy to understand that I wondered why I never looked at it before. Glad to know that there’s an individual out there that definitely understands what he’s discussing. Great job!
