In business when expenses are more than revenues, you cut expenses or raise your prices. Since that is a free market, it the becomes up to the consumer to decide if you made the right decision.

In government, you have a captive market who can't refuse to pay the higher prices because there are laws against not paying the taxes and fees the government charges you. You can lose your house if you don't pay the higher property taxes and you get into a whole lot of trouble if you don't register your car.

So for people like KONOPNICKI taxing a persons sick bed appears to be no big deal. Just another form of revenue enhancement to agencies who do not know how to contain their expenses.

Konopnicki is all too willing to gouge his voters then prevaricate when he tells them how hard he's fighting for them. He must think we're dummies, because he's doing it again.

Go Home Bill and spend some time with your family. Go on a Mission and serve the church. But GO...

I spoke with a representative of House Leadership today and the claim made by Allen Rural Jones is false.

I will be the first one to jump up and rail against any Republican who suggests that the way we get out of this financial mess is to dig deeper into debt.

CUT! CUT! CUT! Like your financial health depends on it because IT DOES!

aznative, would you be more specific as to what you are referring? Please share the facts if you have them. To simply make such a statement as you have is not a valid argument. You employ the logic of a fifth grader I'm afraid and therefore in this discussion your comment carries no value.

I would suggest that Rural Watch learn the facts before writing such an ignorant article. And learning how to spell would probably be beneficial as well.

Would Allen Rural Jones please name names? He says House Leadership asked Konopnicki to draft this alternative budget proposal and *some* of House Leadership met to cut deals. Name names or, just like Konopnicki's usual tactics; its just whisper and innuendo with no substance.

You speak of the proposal (the infamous) *THEY* have come up with - so how come on the video Konopnicki has no co-sponsors?

Well you almost have it correct but as usual you have it only partially correct and twist the truth to make your far right point!

House Republican Leadership ASKED Konopnicki and other R's to work with the D's to get some votes and to see if there was any way to get 31 votes for a budget. You see, the far right Republicans always vote no except to BORROW more money and let our children and grandchildren pay for what the far right Republicans have borrowed with NO plan to repay. The current President thought of this idea first but it worked so well for him that the far right republicans in Arizona want to use this method in Arizona-borrow-borrow-with NO way to repay. Now this is a strong conservative principle.
Just so you know some of House Republican leadership met with the D's as well, you see they needed the votes to make cuts and pay the bills.

Oh yes, the proposal they have come up with takes sales tax from 5% to 6% then in three years lowers it to 4%???? It also pays back the money already borrowed (over $2 Billion with NO plan to repay) and saves OVER $900 million in interest by paying off the current debt in 5 years not 20 years.

These sound like real RINO options.
Great work Gila Courier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
